In March 2016, one of the most beautiful cities in Ukraine, our western capital – Lviv, hosted Startup Garden Conference. Andrii Seleznov, the technical founder of Petiole, an agritech startup that brings Computer Vision into plant science, was honoured to speak to the audience of this technological event.
About Lviv Startup Garden Conference and agritech
Actually, agritech was not the central topic of this event. The aim of this Conference was to help talented technical founders to launch their own startups. The Conference had two sessions:
- “Let`s start”, where successful founders tell about their stories and how they have got their first sales. We are proud that Andrii, as a founder of Petiole, was invited to speak in this session.
- “Where is the money?”, where investors shared their own opinions about win-win strategy when investing in the startups. They told what ideas seem to be trustful for them and attractive to invest their finances.
All 20 speakers at the conference had got hands-on experience in establishing and managing their own businesses.
Andrii Seleznov, as an expert in agritech, spoke about the current state of this niche area in Ukraine and in the world. Also, he shared insights about his agtech startup and future participation in the Ukrainian Agro-Mission to Silicon Valley.
You can watch his talk “Welcome to our village or AgTech in Ukraine” here. The video is in Russian but English subtitles are available.
